Boat Shed Division
Based in Poole, MDL Marinas required a new steel framed jumbo stud wall to divide their boat shed, creating a fire-rated partition to separate the space to specification.
The project began with a series of preliminary meetings, working closely with architects, structural engineers and the client to develop budgets and finalise plans before works commenced on site. Our team then carried out a strip out of the existing installations and fixtures, clearing the area ahead of the new works.
Steelwork was carefully measured and fabricated to the engineers’ specifications, before being set up and installed on site to form the new structural frame. A jumbo stud wall was then installed within the steel frame, with plasterboarding and insulation added throughout to achieve a full one hour fire resistance rating.
The wall was taped and jointed ready for decoration, with all works completed and handed over to the client on schedule.
